   I am thrilled to welcome all of you to Shenzhen American International School! As the             principal, it’s my joy to introduce our school and all the amazing things we have in store       for  you.

   The mission of the International Baccalaureate organization is fully embraced in our         school. The core of our school’s ideology, directs us in our pursuit of academic success and    the holistic development of the IB’s educational framework.

   We promote a culture of inquiry, critical thinking, and global awareness through the IB and    AP curriculum. We believe it’s vital to give our students the tools they need to be lifelong     learners and be prepared for the challenges of a dynamic environment. The IB curriculum     fosters students’ intellectual, emotional, and social development by encouraging them to     investigate a wide range of topics with global significance.

  Language is a powerful tool for promoting understanding and connection, not just a means of communication. At SAIS, we prioritize language and push our students to master bilingual education through effective communication. Our students widen their perspectives, get a deeper understanding of culture, and develop a feeling of global citizenship.

The SAIS philosophy supports holistic education and places a strong emphasis on the growth of the whole student. Along with their academic achievements, it’s important to support our students’ physical, social, and emotional well-being. We give our students the chance to explore their passions, develop leadership qualities, inquire, and create a strong sense of personal and social responsibility through a variety of extracurricular activities, athletics, art, and community projects.
