At the Nanshan School Maker Faire, SAIS organized a presentation room for teachers to present stories and insights to other educators. The presentations were about 10 minutes long, a mixture of Chinese and English, and had a broad topic range.
Teachers came to share how they implemented design thinking in their classrooms, stories of community engagement with their schools, detailed examples of projects, and more.
This was a free event, powered by community speakers and organized by SAIS’s staff. The museum donated the venue, and it happened in conjunction with the School Maker Faire.
This was the first year of these Ed Share Talks, it was organized after feedback from the community showed that teacher’s wanted an opportunity to share lesson plans and teaching stories with others. We were so happy to hear requests for More sharing and More opportunities!
