SAIS Students Show Exceptional Growth on American Test
SAIS gives its students the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test to measure academic growth. This tests the students’ knowledge of the American Common Core State Standards in Reading, Mathematics, and English Language. Over 10 million students take the MAP test. NWEA uses those results to establish achievement and growth norms.
SAIS students outperformed typical American students in the area of academic growth. 31.3% of our students scored in the top 15% or higher, and 12.2% of our students scored in the top 1% for academic growth. This is evidence that our project-based curriculum not only prepares students to be real-world problem solvers, but also prepares them for traditional academic pathways.
