Project Description:
Children are so curious about their environment. They love to explore. This semester we had so much fun observing our environment more closely and learning about living things. We started by establishing what is living and what is not. We grew some plants from vegetable scraps. This helped us see someting growing right before our eyes. Our next step was to establish how living things grow and then observe the other things that living things do: eat, drink, breathe, and reproduce. We will also explored what is alive- plants, animals, people, bugs and bacteria through hands on science experiments. While we studied these living things we also grew the alphabet. Each week we added 2 letters to our alphabet tree. Throughout the project we also be practiced numbers, sorting, shapes, and patterns.
